Watercolor Artist Rachael Uecke is a Coeur d'Alene, Idaho born and raised native. Her twenties were spent living on Maui, Las Vegas, and Oregon... where she's now back to Coeur D' Alene for her thirties and beyond! She adores nature, the four seasons, taking road trips to near by states and enjoys nature photography for her painting references.

Her painting subjects range from pet portraits, landscapes, people portraits, and whatever else she's in the mood for. She's been creating since she was little. Inspiration began young as she was raised in a very creative home. Her late mother, Andra Uecke, was also a local artist and vintage store front owner of the HippieKat. The genes run deep.

Rachael is a devoted cat mama to her orangie boy, a hair stylist/barber by day and a cozy homebody by night. She loves finding and representing the beauty in all that she does. The relationships with her clients, the pieces she paints, the food she cooks, the house she keeps and the essence she exudes...is all from the heart. She believes in deeply loving the mundane, and romanticizing every detail of the journey.
